Dr Tion A. Williams, Ph.D., stands as a distinguished Tax Expert, Auditor, and Finance & Management Consultant, leading T. A. Williams Firms with unparalleled expertise.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, Certified National Accountant and Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, Fellow of the Institute of Company & Commercial Accountants, Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Trustee of Nigeria, and Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

He embodies a wealth of professional distinction.
Born on October 23, 1970, Dr. Williams has built an exemplary academic foundation, earning a Doctorate of Philosophy in Accounting with a remarkable CGPA of 4.35, an MSc in Accounting & Finance with a CGPA of 4.31 (graduating top of his class), an MBA in Finance with a CGPA of 4.11, a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA) at Distinction level with a CGPA of 4.86 (also top of his class), an HND in Accounting with Upper Credit, and an MSc in Economics from Bingham University with a CGPA of 4.44 and currently undergoing Ph.D. in Economics at Nile University.

Dr. Williams has held prestigious roles, including Board Member of the Governing Council of the Institute of Company and Commercial Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Trustee of Nigeria, as well as Consultant to the Joint Tax Board, Federal Inland Revenue Service, and the National Assembly.

His accolades include the Best Resource Person award for the 2006 Joint Tax Board Training Program for Inspectors of Taxes, where he taught Taxation 1 & 2 and Value Added Tax at preliminary and final levels. He has also served as a Consultant to the Economic & Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), leading financial investigations to combat fraud, and as a visiting resource person at the
EFCC Training School, delivering courses on Tax Audit & Investigation.

From 2007 to 2009, he chaired the Education Committee of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, Abuja Chapter and recently a trainer with Federal Ministry of Finance (FMF).

His career includes rigorous training with leading accounting firms such as Olusola Olaneye & Co., Chidi Agubuo & Co., and Paul Eruotor & Co., where he headed successful audit and taxation assignments across public sector entities, non- governmental organizations, and limited liability companies.

In 2006, he established his tax practice, which has since evolved into a fully-fledged firm, earning him a license to provide Audit, Tax and Accounting services in Nigeria. He is currently pursuing an international affiliation to expand the firm’s global reach.

Committed to continuous professional development, Dr. Williams has attended specialized trainings, including Cash Flow Management (Nasarawa State University), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS – ICAN Jos District), International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS – ICAN Jos District), Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) Collections (Adekanlola & Co.), Risk and Security Management (London Graduate School, Ali Brown University), Budget Planning and Management,
Environmental Accounting (Bingham University), Transfer Pricing (CITN), and software courses in Peachtree Accounting and Sage 50 (Bingham University).

A sought-after speaker, he has presented papers at conferences and Mandatory Professional Training Programs of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), as well as syndicate training sessions at FIRS, MSTO, and Large Tax Offices in Abuja. Recently, he hosted a two-day seminar on the newly promulgated Finance Bill. Dr. Williams is also a prolific author, with five journal publications addressing critical issues in taxation and accounting, including Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), Company Income Tax (CIT), Value Added Tax (VAT), and environmental accounting, with a focus on the agricultural and manufacturing sectors.
In a bid to stay abreast with current trends in the profession, Dr. T. A. Williams liaises yearly with key professionals in the industry who conduct bi-annual training exercises for all staff of T. A. Williams Firms, as well as representatives of the firm’s clients, including CEOs and CFOs and other delegates from select public agencies.
Currently, as Senior Partner, he oversees T. A. Williams Firms offering expert consultancy in Tax, Audit, and Financial Services. His professional honors include the 2006 Best Resource Person award from the Joint Tax Board/Federal Inland Revenue Service and the
Young Ambassador of Peace award from the Youth Federation of Nigeria in 2011.

Known for his diligence, efficiency, and integrity, Dr. Williams has earned the trust and admiration of a diverse client base, both locally and internationally. He is happily married with 3 children.
